Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay
Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh province is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for thousands of limestone islands and islets rising from emerald water. Lan Ha Bay lies just to the south, near Cat Ba Island, with quieter lagoons, small beaches and fewer boats. Chronos Cruise sails through both.
When to go
The bay can be visited all year. Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) usually bring mild temperatures and clear views. Summer is hot and ideal for swimming, but tropical storms can occur, and cruises may be rescheduled when authorities close the bay for safety. Winter is cooler and often misty, which gives the karst landscape a calm, atmospheric look.
Getting to the port

What to pack
